BFC Youth
To the parents:
At Bible Fellowship Church our youth are our future! We strive to provide the biblical teaching and opportunities for growth that will enable our youth to develop and mature into biblically solid adults. Jacob and Erica Davis lead in this ministry area and work with our youth to provide adult wisdom and encouragement. The BFC philosophy concerning youth is found in the scriptural model of growth and maturity. Our junior high and high school age kids are really young adults that are seeking their place in the body of Christ. While we want them to have fun, it is not our purpose to entertain these young adults and give them a false sense that it is all about them. They need to see themselves as a vital part of the every day ministries of our church; that they have purpose and that their lives can find fulfillment in following God in ministry. Ministry to others is where God will help them find real joy in life!
To the youth:
As youth at BFC we take an active role in planning the program of activities and learning that will bring about our transformation from childish ways to adulthood. (1 Cor 13:11). We find purpose in coming to church by helping and leading in ministry. We assist during the breakfast time with the cooking, set up, and clean up. We work in the sound booth making sure that everyone can hear what is going on and making sure the sermons get loaded up to Sermon Cloud. We pass out bulletins and see that newcomers are welcome. We work in the cry room to help parents with their children during the church service. We take care of putting up scripture verses and announcements on the sign by the road. We get together and hang out just for fun! We go to special events together like movies, concerts, bowling and pizza parties! And most importantly, we study the Bible together, and with the adults, to find answers to questions about what God intends for our lives!
